We regret that due to the fight against the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic and the advice from the UK government and the World Health Organisation, we have closed our Day Centre and suspended our Transport Service until further notice.
This extraordinary measure has been taken in the interest of our elderly guests who are all over 70 many with underlying health conditions. The majority of our volunteers are also in this high-risk category.
However, we are fully involved with the Meals from Marlow campaign. Our Day Centre manager Suzanne Browne is collecting fresh meals daily and distributing them to our guests on their appointed day so they have something nourishing on the day they would have attended our Day Centre, and also a friendly contact with someone checking on their welfare - from a safe distance!
Meals from Marlow has raised over £100k in a matter of a week which will keep it running for 6 weeks providing meals to both vulnerable people and frontline workers.
The most common symptoms of coronavirus (COVID-19) are recent onset of a new continuous cough and/or high temperature. If you have these symptoms, however mild, stay at home and do not leave your house for 7 days from when your symptoms started. You do not need to call NHS 111 to go into self-isolation. If your symptoms worsen during home isolation or are no better after 7 days, go to NHS 111 online. If you have no internet access, you should call NHS 111. For a medical emergency dial 999.
